What are the sensible materials on system administration?

In general, we need a list of what a novice system administrator (enikey, both Windows and Linux) should know, preferably with links. I will also be especially grateful for various kinds of courses and interesting presentations on this subject where you can go in the European region for skill up.

The most useful learning is through completing a task. Choose a task and go ahead to implement.
You can open some kind of vacancy and read the requirements and extract the tasks for yourself. And remember, the best experience is the worst experience. It is worth reading a large book after solving 5-6 problems of various kinds. Then the picture described in the book will be clearer and you will find some subtleties for yourself.
