What are the restrictions on the interaction of the guest OS with the hardware and the host OS?

Good afternoon!
I got an assignment "at school" which involved installing some guest OS using VirtualBox and doing some more post-installation steps. I completed these tasks successfully.
But I had problems when I touched on the issue that is indicated in the topic.
I was not banned on Google, but I can not find any article on this topic.
Therefore, I ask for help in this matter. You can just link to some material (not necessarily Russian-language), you can have a detailed answer, as it suits you.
Thanks in advance everyone! Have a nice day!

The restrictions are written in the virtualization program, which acts as a layer between the host OS and the virtual system. In fact, the virtual environment in the standard version does not have direct access to the hardware of your PC.
About the limitations of virtualbox - it can NOT directly access the video card. And it can NOT directly access the network and sound card.
