About Logins: they can and should be human-readable. Well, you don't need to generate anything - use the first name + last name.
For example: ivanov.p (Ivanov Peter), petrov.i (Petrov Ivan), ivanob.p1 (another Peter Ivanov).
But it is better to simply generate passwords randomly - their users must enter them once, change and forget. A password printed on a piece of paper is no longer secure.
