What are the PC system requirements for programming?

Hello!
We are going to open a network of training centers in our city.
So, a question arose about the recommended system requirements for PCs or laptops so that people start learning programming?
Interested in everything from the mouse to licensed software.
Thank you all in advance for your replies.

Interested in everything from the mouse to licensed software.

Hire an admin, classic. And people will start to "learn programming".

It all depends on the type of programming.
But in general, mid-range computers are suitable. Something like corei5 Ram 16, HDD to taste, you can use the built-in graphics.
Some types of programming require specific stuffing. Well, for example, it would be nice for neurons to have a good video accelerator. Again, in educational tasks, it is unlikely that you will need strong computing power.
About the periphery: any mouse, keyboard, you can shush and pick up something convenient. The monitor, in principle, too, but it is desirable to have a larger diagonal, because the larger the monitor, the more information is displayed, the more comfortable it is to work.
Software: Operating system, Linux is better, Ubuntu for example, a lot of development is done on Linux machines. And honestly, some things with the development environment are easier to do in Linux than in WIndows. A standard set of office programs, for example, on Libre office, And the development environment itself, it depends on the programming language. It is also desirable to put Insomnia, for generating Http requests, and some kind of atom as a text editor.

How are you going to teach programming if you ask such a question.
You need a consultation with the one who will teach.
There are a lot of programming directions today, therefore, based on what you will teach, you need to select the technique, while the technique should not only be sufficient to launch the software environment or editor, but also be able to easily run the level of programming that you will check with students.
for example, if you are programming one-page sites, a fairly simple office PC, but if you make games, then power is needed in everything, i.e. full-fledged gaming PCs, at least.

Any computer is suitable for learning to program.
As for the software, it all depends on what you will be programming. For C# you need Windows, for JAVA you can use Linux and save money.
This is not your problem. You have no one to teach. You don’t even pull one center, there’s no question of a network at all. You must understand that one teacher of average lousy programming will cost you 300-500 dollars a month, and the salary of a person who can really teach is around 1000

I looked up what kind of office this MCG Group is... And a little "fall out of the blue" :)
Marketing Communications Agency.
Sorry, who will teach you there, if you, like the CEO (that is, no less than the second person of the company) ask such forgive-God-questions? You, as a CEO (excuse me for giving advice) - do not need to deal with mice and software - but develop business plans and hire staff. And let the admin hired by you consider mice and software, who himself knows about the system requirements.
Because in relation to, let's say, buying a car, your question can be rephrased as follows - "I want a car. How much money do I need?"

Didn't find what you were looking for?
