How much can you increase the RAM of a laptop?

There is an Acer Extensa 5620 laptop with 1GB of RAM, I want to increase it. In the CPU-Z program, it shows two slots for Ram, one is occupied by Samsung M4 70T2953EZ3-CE6 (DDR2 SDRAM), the other is free. What memory to choose for this laptop, and how much is the maximum?

Buy 2 identical 2G DDR2 sticks and install.

You can choose between 1GB and 2GB memory. Or throw this one out and put 2 by 2. A maximum of 4 is possible.
