And what about the development of electronic devices? The hardware departments of the same MS are located in America, for example. Apparently, foreign companies are in no hurry to take advantage of the market of Russian engineers. From what I see, it follows that the development of electronic devices in our country is mainly carried out by research institutes, that is, state-owned enterprises, and, most often, they are focused on military and space applications.
There are also firms engaged in diverse developments to order, yes. But are there among them those who are also well-known as software giants? I mean, if a person asks "where to get a very good programmer", he will surely hear at least a couple of the companies mentioned above. Are there any equally clear leaders in hardware development?
