What are the limitations of NVENC/NVDEC when transcoding?
Is there a limit on the number of simultaneous streams when transcoding with NVENC/NVDEC ?
I read somewhere that the limitation is 2 threads, but I can not find exact confirmation.

Ordinary gaming (i.e. "household") cards such as GeForce have a limit of 2 streams for encoding. There are no restrictions on decoding. Server cards, especially those based on top chips like the Tesla M60, have no limits in theory. In practice, with very large amounts of encoding, you will encounter the problem of creating encoding contexts, which we described in our article NVidia GPU Stress Test on Live Stream Transcoding .
