What are the easiest options to organize a tree-like discussion for yourself and a couple of friends, like in the comments on Habrahabr?

The task is to organize a platform for structured private communication of a team of several people. So that it is simple, convenient and, most importantly, the thread of the conversation is always immediately visible. And for the search to work, it is desirable. So that, like in Habrahabr (or something like that): a comment is written in response to another comment and is displayed under it (the one it answers), with a slight shift to the right (and not one after the other like here).
The only thing that comes to mind now is to install a blog engine like LiveStreet or WordPress and communicate, in fact, in the comments. But to put such a terrible whopper for the sake of just one function - somehow you don’t want to. I think it might even be better to ride a bike yourself if I don’t find anything more intelligible and simple.
If you have better ideas, I'd be grateful for suggestions.
PS: Meanwhile, the fact that even the Telegram protocol, as far as I understand, supports the ability to write a message in response to a specific other, does not go out of my head, but I have not yet saw.

Tree-like comments js + css + html in general, as you make up, they will work. It's about appearance.

I myself do this while studying web programming,
I think every real programmer should be able to write his own chat-blog-forum
