What are the domain substitution methods?

Even I do not know yet how to formulate the question correctly.
Let's say I have a website on some hosting. Without a domain, but you can open it by IP.
I want to open it in my browser by the name of hornhoof.oink
In theory, this way I could open other sites, knowing their IP, for example, Google by domain name: googlemoogl.xs
To do this, I need to either deploy dns at home, Or maybe look in the router settings.
Or, probably, deploy some kind of open server and look for it there.
