What are the difficulties in taking online courses?
I am writing a short report at the institute. Topic: "Application of modern technologies in teaching". I need to reveal the topic of online learning, its advantages and disadvantages. I read articles in various blogs, but they were mostly from the creators of the courses. I think this is good material to evaluate the impact of courses on the educational business. However, it is not possible to assess the impact on the students themselves. That's why I opened this question. If you've taken any courses (HTML, JS, PHP, etc.), could you point out the pros and cons of learning online? Both paid and free. If there are difficulties with the formulation of the answer, I propose a number of questions:

It looks like you are just embarrassed to ask - "are the courses ok? or is it defective to take them?". And this whole story about a small report at the institute is an entertaining story.
The answer to the question: the courses are ok, if you are a complete zero, and your reading level is so-so. Courses are for those who have higher listening skills than reading skills. Well, a plus for those who need to chew the material. Because books, especially fundamental ones, usually hit you with knowledge in the head (not all).
The main problem of the courses: usually all courses are either extremely superficial or cover extremely basic material, and contain a lot of water. There are usually no courses that cover complex disciplines, because the leaders of these courses understand that Vasyanov can be milked only at a basic level. And then, Vasyans get smarter, learn to read, google, stop running to the toaster for primitive answers.
Courses are ok for the basics, but usually books and documentation are more helpful at the start.
