What are the different values of speedtest.net in different browsers related to?

I decided to measure the speed of the Internet in different browsers through speedtest.net. I got absolutely different results, although there is about 20 seconds of time difference between each measurement. Question - what could be the reason for this? I 'm attaching a screenshot:

PS In fact, Chrome shows the real speed (I checked it by torrent), but it's not at all clear why the opera is so behind ...

Most likely - with different methods of working with cache and memory. For me, just, Opera gives adequate results, and FF Nightly is overpriced. Moreover, I know perfectly well that the router can handle a stream that does not exceed 170-180 megabits. Opera never crossed this threshold (with the exception of cases when the router was pulled out and the link was launched directly). FF, on the other hand, produces a variety of, sometimes fantastic, numbers.

All browsers have different internal timers. Because of this, the processes associated with time in each browser are different.
