What are the differences between switching in a SOHO router and a soapbox switch?

A SOHO router is an SoC and the switching/routing is done on the processor, right? And in the switch-soap box, something like an ASIC and, accordingly, it can transmit traffic (switch) much more than the SOHO router, or will the switching in the SOHO router be at the same speed as in the switch-soap box?

SOHO router usually has the same ASIC for 5 ports.
for example my router is 4300
ETH chip1: Atheros AR9344
Switch: Atheros AR8327N

If you mean an unmanaged switch or hub, then it does not switch, but stupidly spreads packets to all ports. The second-level switch already compiles a table of mac-addresses by ports and transfers packets depending on macs.
