What are the development prospects for a system administrator with the advent of both technologies?

Good afternoon! Recently, the question has been worrying. Where should the admin develop with the advent of the "cloud". At the moment, I see that admins will work in data centers, deploy their own corporate cloud hosting.
Of course the admins have enough work. But still, cloud technology has not yet reached a high level.
Now a cloud virtual server is already being bought, a couple of manipulations are performed and the server is working. The cloud provider is providing support.
What will be your advice and suggestions for the future development of the system administrator. If I am mistaken somewhere, then correct it. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Admins, alas, have to change their qualifications in the direction of improvement. There is a strong movement in the IT market. What used to have to be administrated, I mean office things, is being automated, the software goes to the Web, and that's great! I can't stand admin offices, I admin very little and I hope I don't have to. You say, "Now a cloud virtual server is already being bought, a couple of manipulations are performed and the server is working. The clouds themselves are providing support." Do you understand what is behind this? Top notch admins. For this cloud to work, you need a lot of support. I will say this, it’s good that this is happening, there is a reason to improve qualifications and strive to work for such large, developed companies. Yes, there are few places, developers are needed ten times more than admins, but what can you do. Now in the administration there is a bias in DevOps, this direction is very popular, with its integral part in the form of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment and in particular Chef, Puppet, Ansible. + Jenkins (and others). But this does not mean that admins in IT companies have disappeared, they just have to learn new tools.

Nothing changed.
It all depends on the goals of the company.
Cloud services are just a hardware/platform outsourcing model, sometimes standardization of some very typical services. Someone still accompanies and fills them, monitors and corrects errors for others who entered the data.

Clouds are a scam to make you pay for air. If you need a little more than a WordPress blog, then you will be charged in full for the number of get requests and even io. So the admins will not go anywhere, rather hosting will die out and the clouds will replace them.

By the way, clouds are not yet cheaper than their own sites, and even more so in Rush. ;)

Just admin will not work. At a minimum, you should be able to work with control systems. configurations, and this is closer to development.

To date, clouds are not so in demand, they use their own servers. Even if there is a movement towards cloud services, someone will need to see the overall picture of the company's IT structure and manage the entire economy, in addition, it is easier and cheaper to keep some of the tasks at home, so that admins will not be left without work, the main thing is not stay unpaid :)
