MacOS is a full-fledged Unix with a crazy interface.
At the expense of appearance, we can safely say that no Linux distributions are close by (and Windows too, which is already there).
The touchpad remains the best of the bunch (seriously, only some Toshiba have more or less comfortable touchpads now).
