What are the consequences of using a decorative skin on a MacBook?

Interested in whether anyone had experience using a similar skin for a MacBook www.ebay.com/itm/ROYAL-BLACK-LEATHER-BODY-WRAP-DEC... ? Of course, I guess that it should not spoil the appearance of the laptop after it is removed, but still I would not want to ruin the case so that the laptop loses the possibility of resale.

I would have thought a hundred times before pasting such a hot laptop from below. Aluminum is still a large part of the heat transfer of the entire system. And the touchpad is also not clear how it will behave.
