What are some convenient video players for a tablet on Windows 8?

What do you need:

  • Convenient operation (the most important is convenient rewinding)
  • Support for MKV and MP4 containers
  • Support for subtitles in srt format
  • Variable playback speed

The last condition can be sacrificed.
An example of a convenient rewind is MX Player for Android: a horizontal swipe winds for a gap depending on the length of the swipe, while until you release your finger, you see how far you will move ( video ). An example of an inconvenient rewind: VLC with a tablet interface (also a swipe, but the length of the jump is unpredictable).

In the market there is VLC for fullscreen. pretty cool stuff. I use it myself. but it's slightly raw.
