What are some convenient "three-pane" file manager/organizers for *nix?
The crux of the matter is this:
Due to poor memory at work, I'm used to logging all my actions into a text document (without authentication data, of course).
Naturally, this method is inconvenient:
- firstly, because you can’t sort actions by date,
- secondly, you can’t add tags: priority, category, (TODO,IN WORK,DONE), etc.
- thirdly, sometimes you want to write a script (bash) and place it in a separate file
As I see a convenient file manager organizer:
- three panels: 1) directory tree panel; 2) records panel; 3) records data panel
- search bar (you can select a specific directory from the tree and the search will only be in it)
- editing data directly in the records data panel without opening a record
- tagging and search by tags
