What are good keyboards?

Until yesterday, there was Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000. Everything is good, except for the inadequate space that I finally killed trying to make it normal.

Buy a new Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 :)
Over the past 4 years, I have not found anything better to work with. Even the Macbook pro 13's keyboard isn't that comfortable.

Mitsumi Keyboard Millennium
in general, IMHO Mitsumi are not killable devices, as far as keyboards are concerned.

What do you want from a keyboard? As options, describe by characteristics:
-Wireless
-Completeness and standardity of the set of keys (that is, the criticality of the digital block, the need for multimedia keys)
-The need for backlighting
-What type of keys do you like best - standard membranes, flat "scissors", classical mechanics (with a click /without)
-Required for touch typing (that is, without letters) or symbols are needed -Do I need
a backlight
-Ergonomic frills - are they needed?
Something like that

I have this one, but the white one is “around” (the keys are black). Very comfortable and compact. With touch typing, a digital block is not really needed, maybe it’s better with it, but I don’t suffer from its absence at all. Due to the fact that it has a "slim" form factor, on ordinary, non-flat keyboards, fingers often stumble over the keys. However, those who are accustomed to the good old Mitsumi turn up their noses at modern "netbook" keyboards.

There is also an option with a proprietary "pyramidal" layout, which prevents the occurrence of tunnel syndrome. It may be convenient, if you get used to it, I don’t know, I haven’t tried it.

I’ve been working on the Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 Black for the second year (there is also white), everyone is happy with it ... a small key travel, the keys are large and feel good, protection from liquids (and it’s done in a very original way, they hid the electronics upstairs, and made holes in the keyboard for leakage liquids). Well, as a small bonus, there is a "calculator" button :)

But honestly, now I'm looking towards the Logitech Wave Keyboard ... although it didn't work, but it hurts I like the texture of the wrist rest. In my own thoughts...

I support Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. I’ve been using it for about six months now, I can’t drag it by the ears :) Now I don’t even know how it can be noticed except for the Apple Keyboard, in case of a breakdown or if it is discontinued, I am too critical of quality and comfort.

I studied this issue for a long time, chose 2-3 most sophisticated keyboards on the Internet and went to kei: choose. But I bought this .
Classic key layout, classic key size, notebook short travel, white color (with black and red letters), minimalism. And the price is 550 rubles. Happy =) Recommend =)

Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 (USB).
I have two years. The keyboard is very good.
+ Like the response of the buttons. Something between classic and notebook.
+ A compromise suitable for everything: both for sighted printing, and for blind printing, and for games.
+ Washes well without disassembly, with a regular washing brush.
+ "Calculator" button near the digital block.
+ Thoughtful Num/Caps/Scroll LEDs: clearly visible and not conspicuous.
+ No controversial innovations like small Shift and big Delete. The only thing missing from the "classics" is the big Enter - it's not critical for me.
- In a cramped space, it is better to take another.
- For two years, the rough relief has been erased from the most used buttons. The marking, fixed with a layer of varnish, keeps perfectly.
— Not the best gap.
- The Ctrl buttons that I adapted to switch layouts are small.

For a long time I almost collected claves. Because not a single acquisition suited for one or another characteristic.
But one fine day I ordered a microsoft digital media keyboard 3000 for myself - since then I don’t even think about changing it.
Quiet buttons "a la laptop", there are additional, but the most necessary keys. Normal software included. And most importantly - for 2 years, nothing happened to her. Microsoft knows a lot about good hardware. Both mice and keyboards are simply excellent.
So I recommend.
The only negative (for me) is the lack of a full-fledged USB Hub in the keyboard. But this is already "taste and color."

I'm afraid that if you get used to Microsoft's "natural ergonomics", you won't be happy with anyone else. At least that's how it is for me.
