What aperture value do you set for landscape?

Good evening, tell me what aperture value do you choose for the landscape and where do you focus (on the nearest or on the central object)?
I read all sorts of advice, but there is a spread from 6 to 22 according to their "advice".

If your landscape has foreground and background, it is your task to highlight what is important for you)
If all parts of the landscape are sufficiently removed, "at infinity" - for most lenses for full and APS-C formats, the maximum sharpness falls on aperture 5.6 ( site to help ).
