Weird HP server glitch
Hello!
I'm running a ProLiant DL380 G6 server running RHEL 6.2. This server periodically has a strange glitch - when typing text, for example, when entering commands, the character is printed about a second after being pressed, and such a delay is a little annoying. It lasts about 10 minutes, then disappears, then an hour later appears again somewhere. The network is definitely not relevant here, since there is a bandwidth of 1 gigabit. It is reproduced both via ssh and via iLO. Much less often there is another glitch - when you press a key, the character is printed 2-3 times, that is, when you log in, you type for example root, and for example rroot is printed. Accordingly, the password is typed in this way, that is, it does not work to log in. This usually happens after a reboot. If this hardware fails, if Linux is so buggy. Has anyone heard of such glitches?

1. Update iLO, server BIOS and RAID controller to the latest versions and check the condition of the screws.
2. Update the operating system (do not forget server / service backups)
3. Check the performance of the machine, as in the tips above - iops, wait and others ...
And I would not be so categorically brush aside the network. Gigabit to gigabit - strife ... Do you have physical access to the server?
Doubling of letters happens when working through ILO - it manifests itself during network delays. This is not possible via SSH.
Perhaps network brakes on your computer, and not on the server
