Bought a NAS Synology 213j. I have only connected one drive so far. I want to synchronize folders between laptop (OS Windows 8.1) and NAS. The synchronization program can synchronize folders both via WebDAV and SMB. What is the best protocol for synchronization? What are the advantages and disadvantages between these protocols?

1. It's better to take it back to the store...
2. IMHO it doesn't matter if there are no problems with the implementation on the NAS itself
