Web server at home?
Hello, there is an opportunity to assemble a server on J1900, 8GB DDR3, SSD 120GB, and put it at home.
At home, I already have good Internet 1000Mbps (the provider gives all the free speed from the 1Gb house switch), and a UPS with a 60Ah battery (enough for the whole day of such a server). What do you think, is it worth raising your startup on a server at home (and then if it takes off, then just upgrade the server)? Or is it better to rent VDS from the same OVH?
If anything, then protection will be in any case. (CloudFlare business plan)

yes, it doesn’t matter to a startup that it’s at home or at the VDS
there is no ping in 1 ms, ping google, yandex, mail
i.e. "good internet" you only have up to your provider
As I understand it, since this is a startup, then finances are needed in other places.
There are two problems with your own hosting - the disappearing Internet and the disappearing electricity.
Hosters also have downtime for various reasons.
So deploy at home, keep away from moisture, children and animals. Don't forget about backups!
You can always spend money on hosting.
