Watching videos from an SSD instead of a NAS over a network, 40 smartphone and tablet users?

I want to organize a media catalog in a small hotel for 50-80 people. On DLNA or samba. Will an External SSD with a USB3 interface be able to simultaneously watch movies over the network (at least 40 people, SSD on the passport 500mb.s)? NAS is very expensive. It will be connected to the computer, then by lan to the keenetic Hero 4G router

Out of 40 people, 1-2 will watch.
The rest - climb into youtube or Netflix.
I am not criticizing the idea itself. It may just be worth waiting for the first load and then doing optimization after the fact.

Do you have a router that will allow you to access files at such a speed? Routers usually have weak processors for this.
