Wake on lan???

I can't understand what is the reason.
Everything works, but only a few minutes after going to sleep.
If you send a package, for example, in an hour, then zero reaction.
OS Windows 8.1

configured
Magic Packet Wake On Lane
configured
BIOS configured
Connection
UPNP router enabled
I put the PC into sleep mode, wait about three minutes, send the packet, wakes up.
I put the PC into sleep mode, I wait n minutes, I send a packet, it does not wake up.
There is an assumption that after switching to sleep mode, the PC's network adapter turns off completely after a while.

If so, then it may be necessary to disable the shutdown, but if you uncheck it, it will not be able to accept the packet. Maybe somewhere else there are settings where you can set a ban on turning off the network adapter when switching to sleep mode.
Or something needs to be changed in gpedit.msc.

Perhaps the reason is different.

UPD2: doesn't work...
host , everything works, but if you try to immediately put it into sleep mode, send the packet (s), then nothing will happen, subsequent sending will not help either, so it’s better to wait a bit.
what exactly was (or maybe still will be) the reason is not clear.
