VMWare Workstation 12, network bridge, centos 7 - if there is no activity for a long time, SSH / HTTP cannot be reached from an external ip. What is it for?
Strange affair. I started the virtual machine, the host (Win7) is constantly running, sleep mode is disabled, the guest has CentOS 7 with SSH and HTTP server, if nothing is done on the computer for a long time (here I don’t know yet if this is related to activity on the host machine or guest) then it is not possible to reach the external IP. Port forwarding to the guest machine is configured on the router (because a bridge is configured), fixed IP.
But there is a feature, it is worth trying to perform some kind of network activity in the guest machine, for example, ping - access is restored.
What could be the problem? Thank you!

In general, apparently the problem is in the router, I had to make a script once a minute making a GET request to google.com. It seems to have helped. All the same test bench.
look at the power saving mode, maybe your problem lies there. I don't have this problem on win 10 and wmvare 12 pro, debian-based Proxmox guest OS
