Visual studio 2010 + PHP Tools add-in: How to double click a variable along with $?

Actually, the subject: the dollar sign in the variable is not highlighted when I double-click, and this is not comfortable.
As I understand it, this is built into the "default editor" - it behaves the same way.
Something tells me that some kind of add-in is needed to fix this behavior?
And another question along the way: comment auto-completion, how to turn it off?
