Video slows down in YouTube Player. How to fix?

I'm using YouTubePlayer from Google's YouTube API. The bottom line is that when watching a video on a page when scrolling the screen, when the video goes abroad by more than half, playback is slowed down. We now have to call YouTubeStandalonePlayer on onplay(), which shows the video in the intent, which is not very beautiful.
Can I force the video to continue playing if it is not visible?
