What guides Google Maps when compiling maps of Russia?
For two years we have been working on various projects that use Google Maps. It was always surprising that such a small city as Kirov (population 400,000) was perfectly drawn, and Rostov-on-Don (population over 1 million), Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and other important cities were completely ignored.
Maybe someone knows why this is happening?
Thank you!

I finished my city myself, they even rewarded me with a T-shirt. Only this is a long song, updates have been waiting for their fate for more than six months.
I saw a mapper on Google Earth or something like that. As I understand it, you can offer Google maps. Yes, and I think the easiest way is to try to contact the Google maps support service or contact the map developers. I think it is quite possible to find them and the Russian division of Google is engaged in compiling maps in Russia.
I think it's just that someone asked to draw Kirov, so this situation has developed.
80 percent of the population of Russia is up to the Urals, which means that most of the cards will be up to the Urals, and federal cellular communications have also developed.
In general, you can also draw maps on Yandex "people's maps" - they immediately appear on the map! :)
