It is better to consider the option with an HDMI cable and an appropriate projector, unless, of course, the laptop has such an interface.
We have one projector with a good expensive shielded cable (2500 rubles) 15 meters long, it works, though 800 by 600 in total. The main thing is to reduce the frame rate in the video adapter settings in order to reduce the bandwidth.
At resolutions of 1024x768, 800x600, a high-quality VGA cable works quietly up to 25-30 meters.
With DVI, HDMI above 10 meters, problems begin, although there are cables of 20 meters each :-).

Plus, there are double-converted cables that run very long distances. We use occasionally, but I personally didn't pick them up. I have seen the use of such a cable for several tens of meters.
At our institute we use an Epson projector with a Wi-Fi module. You need to install drivers, the projector connects via Wi-Fi with Ad-Hoc and works fine.
Buy a quality VGA cable, such as Kramer. Up to 25 meters will work. At 10 meters it will work with a whistle. It is advisable to take the cable no thinner than 8mm in diameter. A normal HDMI cable for the same 10 meters will be more expensive and not justified in terms of application, for VGA conferences this is the de facto standard. Fencing a garden with converters makes sense for lines of 20 meters or more.
