Is there a cheap 3d camera for sale?

There was an idea to implement a project like this , but to create a more or less workable prototype, you need a 3d camera like a kinect, the prices of which, to put it mildly, go beyond the budget of the "experiment", the question is, is there a more or less cheap alternative?
ps the project is being done for charitable purposes and there is no sponsor for the purchase of more expensive components.

You can do everything through the webcam on OpenCV, but you have to tinker and the accuracy will be worse.

Asus xtion pro is a cheaper depth sensor. I'm just selling one, didn't come in handy for the robot.

The easiest option is a regular webcam + IR illumination for it. The light level will be roughly inversely proportional to the square of the distance.

And why is there a 3D camera at all, with the right light, everything turns out with a regular webcam, with recalibrations after the hands leave the frame.
The projector shines from above, the camera looks nearby, as soon as the hands leave the frame, we give a white field and stupidly understand the depth by brightness. Although you can give a grid or structured noise, graze areas where there were hands, but here the camera is already needed better. IMHO is simpler stupidly in terms of brightness, an ordinary webcam.
