Video on second monitor without switching?
Hello, dear Toasters (well, or how to contact you). I have a question regarding video on a second monitor. Since soon May 9, there will be a concert at the school. It is very desirable that the projector, when children read poetry, have a static picture .. something like a splash screen .. and when the child stops reading, the picture disappears and the video is shown.
I will sign in more detail ..
There is a laptop to which the projector is connected. The laptop has all the videos, etc. A child stands on the stage and reads a verse, a static picture is on the projector .. let's say May 9 is Victory Day. After reading the verse, the picture disappears and the video appears..
At the rehearsal, we had it so that when the video appeared, we had to drag the video from one "monitor" to the 2nd monitor.. But it all looks very ugly.
So the question is.. Is there a program / software or function that can switch the video on a laptop and show it on the projector, but so that there is no manipulation on the projector..
Thanks in advance for the answers and I hope they help me. If you have any questions, I'll be sure to explain everything.

Create a PowerPoint presentation for the entire event with embedded video.
Show this presentation.
Hotkeys for dragging windows + scripts in AutoIt (like that's what the program is called).
Two laptops and a KVM switch. While an image is coming from one laptop, the next material can be prepared on the second.
1. Banal Alt+Tab.
2. Compose a playlist: picture, video, picture, video, etc. Then just press "Next". Even a child can handle it.
There was such a question, the person eventually set up a virtual desktop, where he threw the necessary windows. I don't remember the specific program.
how to make multiple virtual desktops in win7? And in WinXP? something along these lines
In such cases, I use the windows media classic player.
A few settings: 1 Settings> Playback> Full screen> Jackdaw (run files in full screen mode)> Display monitor (select our projector).
2 Player > Logo > We put a void or a poster of the event or the logo of the customer's company (this is what will hang while the video starts, for a few moments, but nevertheless it is better than the player's splash screen)
I will add that pictures can also be torn off by media classic. (Open with..... Always use.)
