Video card vibrates under load. Why?
Good afternoon.
Please help me understand what is happening with the video card.
I got a Geforce RTX 2060 from Gigabyte a couple of months ago.
I began to notice that with increased load, a sound similar to vibration begins to be heard from the system unit. Opened, listened - it's from the video card. I put my finger on the card case - the sound disappears. Twisted the rotation speed of the coolers in MSI Afterburner - an extraneous sound appears at 70% and above the rotation speed. The card is fixed with a screw to the case, but it is not fixed with a latch in the motherboard itself (I accidentally broke off the latch a long time ago). I doubt this is due to the latch, since the previous gtx 970 card from the same Gigabyte with 3 coolers did not make any noise under the same conditions.
Is such noise/vibration dangerous for the card in the future? Should I take it back to the store under warranty?

Vibration increases the wear of mechanics (coolers) and increases the chances of failure of small solder joints, moreover, wherever it spreads.
Vibration occurs as a result of resonance, and is caused either by a slight imbalance of the fans, or by low precision in the manufacture of their axes.
Possible solutions:
- the most expensive and difficult - replacing the cooling system on the video card
- the simplest - installing damping pads - for example, small pieces of silicone rubber stuck between the board and the cooling system (without effort, but tightly, and where you will not damage anything at the same time), or sticking large pads that absorb vibration (this is less effective and may reduce cooling efficiency).
You can also try placing soft plastic washers under the mounting screws that secure the cooling system cover to the radiator.
Resonance due to fan.
Why do you think that a motherboard that has been broken a long time ago will make it possible to return a video card under warranty?
Take it down, maybe they'll just replace it and you'll be lucky.
But not required.
The resonance.
It depends on the individual geometric parameters. The last video card - they are different.
Noise is harmful to your ears.
Vibration is a mechanical phenomenon, and the only mechanical element on a graphics card is the fan. It vibrates, the rest of the video card has nothing to do with it. So deal with him.
Usually the cooler impeller is well balanced and does not vibrate. In order for it to begin to shake noticeably, a considerable piece must fall off from one of the blades and thereby an imbalance will be created. Inspect the blades for their integrity.
But it is more likely that the impeller axis, pressed into plastic, has become loose, then stupidly replace the impeller without any trips to the SC (find a similar one on the old map), this is an elementary procedure.
Any vibration is dangerous for electronics. Especially for such a "small" technical process, as modern components.
Only setting an arbitrary curve in MSI Afterburner helped me. Please tell me did you solve the problem? If so, how?
