via ssh vim changes colors

The configs are the same. Disabled support for 256 colors. Tried several terminals. I asked my friends, same thing. Where to dig?

It depends on what vim package is.
Using CentOS as an example, there is vim-minimal and there is vim-enhanced. So, with the second, backlight schemes are installed. They are located in /usr/share/vim/{vim version}/colors
on CentOS - /usr/share/vim/vim70/colors
on Ubuntu and Debian - /usr/share/vim/vim72/colors
Delete or move these files.
