Very bad bluetooth adapter connection?

I notice the last month that the bluetooth adapter built into the motherboard began to work very poorly. The keyboard often loses connection and does not respond for a long time, or there is a delay in pressing keys. Headphones keep cutting out. Could this be due to the wi-fi antennas that are behind the system unit? Or is the wi0fi sensor separate from bluetooth? Should I buy a separate wifi module and connect it via usb? Will it conflict with this module built into the motherboard?
