Hi guys!
Reworking an old site. There was a question about the coding used. Currently using windows-1251. It is clear that no one does this anymore and you need to use UTF-8, but there are a lot of pages on the site and I don’t want to transfer the whole economy to a new encoding at all - I’m afraid that I won’t foresee everything and nakosyach, and the benefit for me is not obvious. There are a lot of sites from 1251, and even nothing from KOI8-R, they live.

What is the replacement problem? In manual change of the instruction of the coding? Have you tried to use some program to replace strings in all files automatically?
