Using the driver with other VID/PID?

Good evening, habravchane! The situation is this: there is a device (usb-rs232 converter) on the ft4232h chip. And everything would be fine, only the manufacturer sewed up his VID and PID. So actually the question is: is it possible to somehow make the device work using native ftdi drivers? Drivers, of course, compiled.

of course you can, in the inf file, correct it for the VIR / PID that you need. It was done repeatedly.

If the manufacturer has sewn up his vid / pid, then he also supplies drivers. And it's not a fact that the supplied software will work with a different version of the drivers (yes, you have to kill for it, but nonetheless). You have already been told about editing the inf file. But you can go the other way - replace the vid / pid in the device itself with standard ftdins. They have MProg utility for this.

the problem is only in replacing the VIR / PID?
