User page browsing patterns, which is better?

I think more experienced designers know about all sorts of user browsing patterns and research related to them. And now there are 2 main types of pageviews - the F-pattern and the Z-pattern. Which are quite mutually exclusive. I tried to experiment in design, create both F and Z pages, and tried to somehow combine them so that the main blocks of the site would go in Z, and the content in them would be in F.
I would like to ask more experienced designers than me. How do you feel about patterns, do you use them in your work and what do you think is better and why?

Yes, everything is logical and, in general, simple - you need to focus on the main content (the store does not need a big header, it does not sell hats, etc., etc.). the second factor is the target orientation of the resource (which is good for a business card site, not always suitable for a corporate portal). But, alas, the client pays and it's easier not to argue with him - any whim at your expense and a rake as a gift.
