I have the same. A similar problem with background noise under Windows. Bought on ebay. Complained to the seller. We returned a couple of dollars. :)

I also have this one, strange but no problems, I tried different players,
personally I do this :66 I turn off the microphone (input) and turn on USB audio (output) in the pulseaudio applet ... noises can be if the microphone input is enabled
