"Update available..."

The wife uses a Nokia Lumia smartphone (MTS operator), having decided to check the account, she received an answer via SMS. Everything would be fine, but the promotional ending made some reflections:

“An update is available! Your smartphone will work even faster without recharging for even longer and sound even cleaner: www.uznaite.com/lumia-710 ” (text copied, spelling preserved) .

There is nothing in Zune about this magical update.

What else is this ? When you go to a certain uznaite.com, there is a redirect: nokia710.prohost.mobi/

This is not even phishing, but just an advertising link: they sell accessories and other garbage on the site. Why MTS pushes advertising without checking the content is the second question.
Zune always checks for updates only for off. website, you will never be able to install third-party updates on an unlocked phone.

"Not entirely honest" advertising slipped through, to put it mildly. You can go to your control panel on the site and put a "free service" with the name "do not receive advertising from MTS" or something like that. I set myself a couple of years ago - since then (almost) not a single advertising SMS has come, and there is no spam in the balance reports.
