Unstable wifi connection ubuntu 20.04 (jumping ping)?
The fact is that in games the ping constantly jumps, and it’s rather strange. It stays around 70 for some time, then abruptly jerks up to 150-160 for a few seconds, then abruptly drops back, which leads to friezes during the game. Half a meter away from me, my brother was playing with me, the game was running on windows 10 and at the same time the ping was stable around 70 for the whole game. At the same time, sometimes wifi just "falls off". Only a complete reconnection to the point helps, despite the fact that there is a smartphone connected to the same point nearby and it is clear that the problem is not with wifi, but with the system itself. Updating and upgrading the system did not help. Thank you in advance.

what does bubunta or another system have to do with it?
ask your questions to the provider
for the average user = FSE is configured optimally
+ services that you don’t use can be turned off,
but they won’t do the weather for you
Wi-Fi and stable ping/no packet loss are hard things to achieve at the same time. Try to connect with a cord from the same device.
Check the MTU if it is different in the system, on the router, at the provider, then there will be packet fragmentation (this is normal) and check if packet fragmentation works correctly for you, all this can be done from the console with the ping command with the appropriate keys on Windows, this is done like this ping yandex. ru -4 -l 65500 don't remember on linux
Download Wireshark go to I/O graphics statistics errors are written there
and wait for the network drivers to be updated
