Unable to install debian. Why?

I can't install debian on an acer extensa laptop, neither 7 nor 8.
Installation is in progress, and hangs on configure dpkg.

What ISO image is the installation from?
Once in Debian, half of the images (especially the network installation) are not functional from birth. Then they write: "Oh, they messed up."
If the laptop is from new models, then this may be related: Debian is the most conservative (read: outdated) distribution.
Try another advanced distribution: Fedora, OpenSUSE, ...
Surprisingly, I tried to install LMDE based on debian, everything also hangs on the installation
