Ubuntu and i.MX53 - USB not working?

Hey Habr!
I want to install Ubuntu 11.10 and then 12.04 on a board from %subj%. The problem is that the installation comes exactly to the language selection screen - there is no way to move further, because neither the mouse nor the keyboard work, and if you look at the boot log, you can see something like "it is impossible to enumerate devices on the USB1 port"
Does anyone have any ideas how to fix or work around this?
PS Tried official assemblies and Linaro assemblies . Both have the same problem.

Have you considered the option using a terminal port (RS232)? For this kind of piece of iron, a lot of useful things can be done through the terminal port.

Boot the system to an x86 SD card using qemu. After that, boot into the installer, rotate into the SD card and install the kernel where it should be.
