Types of prophylaxis for vision?
While working at the computer, on average for 8 hours, I encountered the problem of accommodation spasm and dry eye.
One ophthalmologist advised drops and not to sit at the PC ("change profession")
The second - after work, sports, at least an hour a day, and preferably a pool + eye gymnastics and drops as well. Also take breaks every 30-45 minutes.
In principle, I follow all the advice (except for the pool), I drip drops, but in the evening my eyes are tired and it’s not even comfortable to read an ordinary book (feeling dry and as if something got into my eye)
I ask for advice from people who spend a lot of time at the computer : how do you give your eyes a rest? After work, you manage to sit at a PC or read a book (paper).
I would like to read something useful after work, but purely physically it does not work.

We must not deal with the consequences, but eliminate the cause. Good large matrix, sufficient distance from the monitor. Correct lighting is very important, the monitor should not be much brighter or darker than the environment. The fonts are larger, the interface is the same color scheme (dark/light, whatever). According to the programs: DarkReader - makes all sites dark, f.lux - removes the blue color, relieves the eyes well. And yes, once every N minutes look into the distance.
I will completely lose my sight in about 10 years, by the age of 47-48. Those. I’m on you with ophthalmologists)
But even with my trashy disease, I don’t feel anything physical. Eye fatigue is more of a subjective feeling, there is nothing to "get tired" of. And here
feeling of dryness and as if something got into the eyeYou need to see a doctor, not a forum. This may be a symptom of some disease.
a book is not a rest, except perhaps a change in the load of
the pool? - a general strengthening thing for sure, but for the eyes it is a minimum of bleach, and looking under water is also just a change in the type of load,
rest for the eyes - just look into the distance in nature. panoramas to the horizon from a hill, with moderate lighting, but sufficient lighting. Watching sunrises and sunsets is useful. the disk of the moon, in clear weather, is also good))
there are also many gymnastics for the muscles of the lens, provoking an expansion of the range of accommodation. this can be helpful ( specialist advice desirable ). but it's a load again. and about the rest, see above
When faced with such a problem, I took a break and did gymnastics for relaxation, after some time apparently necessary habits were formed and the problem went away. I don't remember the last 5 years. sometimes I write the code with relaxed eyes on the machine out of focus, but this is if I feel that they are tired.
The most effective way for me is to simply close my eyes regularly for five minutes and relax. Well, it is important first of all to learn to understand when and how they get tired in order to track in time and do something. When the eyes are already falling out from the tension, it is already too late to take any breaks, you have to go to sleep.
As for the glasses - the first time I hear and I don’t know anyone who would try.
from the obvious, change the monitor to a good one and set the correct settings and temperature on it
