Trusted Platform Module version 2.0: what is it, where to buy and how to use it?

Where to buy and how to order TPM 2.0? How to set it up? Is there a USB TPM or only through a special connector? And in general, what are the subtleties and nuances of its use?

Look in bios, maybe there is software emulation. You can buy on avito (or prick on a scam, here, as you're lucky). The price is from 1500 to 4000 re. Although the prices are suspiciously low, since over the past month the prices for this device have risen by 5! times - from 20 to 100 USD.

Is there a USB TPM or only through a special connector?
Or through a special connector on the mat. board, or software emulation (I don’t know where this emulation is located - in the process, or in bios).
How to set it up?
Enable in bios.
And in general, what are the subtleties and nuances of its use?
Loss of "ownership" of the computer
The owner of the computer can no longer do whatever he wants with it, as he transfers some of his rights to the software producers. In particular, TPM may interfere (due to errors in the software or intentional decision of the developers):
1) to transfer data to another computer;
2) freely choose the software for your computer;
3) process the available data with any available programs.

As for me, complete crap! We need to get rid of this bastard! Mikey is crowing something about increased "security" with TPM in Windows 11. But this is all nonsense. They want to put this chip in every device to control what the user can and can't run.
I don’t know how anyone, but I don’t fucking need such a device so that I ask Microsoft what software I can run on MY device and what I can’t!

WSGlebKavash , judging by the way the question is composed and what it contains, we can conclude that you have no idea what it is and what it is for.
Then I have a leading question for you: if you have no idea what you are asking, then why do you need it? Do you suddenly find it hard to live without a new TPM module?
But I'll try to answer you:
- this module (more precisely, even the technology that it carries) is absolutely not needed for home use and, in principle, does not make any sense.
- this technology (TPM 2.0) is by default built into many "fresh" processors and mats. boards, as indicated in their specifications. It remains only to enable the desired parameter in uefi / bios.
- it is categorically not recommended to install this module if it did not somehow come with the motherboard, because these individual modules are very specific devices and it is very likely that the module you purchased will not work with your mat. payment.
