Transition between directions?
How realistic is it in modern realities to switch from frontend to backend and vice versa without losing the "level" and salary? Let's say a developer has a year or two experience in the frontend, that is, JS and some kind of frame or bibl ( react, angular i td ) go to the backend on the same JS. ( node ) so that everything is within the framework of one jap. Eg. from the conditional middle front, go to the conditional mid backend. Or is it a completely different path and everything from scratch? There may be some factors at play. It is interesting to hear the answers of those who have experienced it themselves or are aware of it from friends.
ps I understand that the developer's knowledge and skills play an important role. But will the employer consider the former middle front-end worker for the position of middle back?)

to go, in the presence of brains and desire - elementary.
As for the "level / salary" - everything is conditional and individual. usually there is a drawdown even within the same language. and this is due to the fact that each area has its own nuances that even a pumped new camera may not be familiar with.
but, if with brains, you can easily reach the previous level within a year.
Will an employer consider a former middle frontend worker for a middle back position?Of course it will, if you pull and you can prove it.
You can not change anything and get a drawdown in salary, just like in the 14th year the ruble fell, and everyone who had a salary in rubles sank. Everything changes in life many times, and if you tremble for every penny, you can live your whole life not for yourself, but for the sake of these pennies. Do what you like. When a person likes work, he works with dedication and enthusiasm, and dedication and enthusiasm is such a rarity that it is highly valued in any field.
Will an employer consider a former middle frontend worker for a middle back position?- depending on the employer.
