Transferring Windows 10 to another drive (limited)?

So, there is a laptop that has an SSD inserted in M.2, but it is small in volume. It was decided to buy with an increased volume. Since it is also M.2, and there is only one connector, this adds complexity.
Fortunately, there is a usb-hdd larger than the original SSD.
First I decided to clone to the HDD, and then from there to the new SSD. And through Acronis and Macrium Reflect. And there, and there did not work out for various reasons.
It was decided not to suffer nonsense, but to reinstall the OS, and save the data on the hard drive and transfer it later. Moreover, there are viruses and so on.
Eventually. I will install from the flash drive right away to the new Windows disk. But how to keep the license? It is clear that there is a lot of information about this, but it is not very detailed, and I would not like to take risks. Help me please.
PS I wrote a bunch of details to avoid inappropriate advice.

But how to keep the license?
And what's with the license? A license is the permission of the copyright holder to use the software.
From the fact that you reinstall something there somewhere, this permission will not change in any way.
If we are talking about activation, you need to look at what kind of distribution kit, and what activation is tied to. As a rule, when buying a license, an activation key is given.

If there is a key, then you activate the system with it during installation. If there is SLIC in the BIOS, then the system is activated automatically. If the system has already been activated on this jelly (mother + percent), then it is activated automatically during installation, if the Internet is available.
