Transferring Whatsapp location data in the background?

Good to everyone.
I could not find reliable information on this issue, although somewhere I came across new Google policies regarding this.
The bottom line:
A year ago, whatsapp had the ability to share real-time geodata in the background, i.e. gave a label, put the phone and forgot, the data is transmitted.
Now there is no such possibility; you put a label, put down the phone, and the second party receives only the data that was transferred at the time the phone was active. For example, if I picked up the phone after 15 minutes, then nothing was transmitted in the background for the previous 15 minutes of my phone’s operation, the point of my position as 15 minutes is irrelevant, but just at the moment I activate the phone, it freely transmits this data.

How can this be overcome?

See if Whatsapp needs to give separate permission to collect location data in the background? Because with the release of the 10th version of Android, the security policy has changed.

Or maybe in connection with these new rules, this function was cut out from there.
