TP-Link WR-840N and OpenWRT?

I flashed the router of this model in openwrt, installed Luci, OpenVPN client, changed the password and IP. But if you turn off the router for several hours, then all changes except for the VPN will disappear. And when you reboot or turn off for a few minutes, the settings work fine. Because of what it can be?

The problem was solved by installing a more recent firmware version. Apparently there was some kind of bug in the old version.
