Tox DNS name discovery and noob, what to do?
Hello.
I will warn you right away: I am a noob and this topic is a dark forest for me, so an explanation on the fingers is required. In general, I wanted to get a name like vasya @example .org in tox , but I can’t figure out how to do it at all. I have a domain purchased from namecheap , I have a VPS with a white ip, it costs ubuntu. DNS is used by Namechip. What's next? What should I do? As far as I understand, I need a TXT record, but apparently I'm doing something wrong, because nothing works for me. TXT record created like thisway and nothing good happened (my domain like example.org and TOX ID are smeared). I did something wrong, didn't I? Or do I need to wait for the DNS to be updated the same way as when I just bought the domain and registered the server ip? Or maybe I'm even trying to do something that is impossible to do and I need my own DNS server\purchase of DNS hosting in order to be able to add such a record? Tox

1) if you set TTL to 300 instead of 1800, then you would have to wait 5 minutes, not half an hour
2) there are several Tox-DNS specifications and "pickup" depends on the client you are using.
Well, yes, you need to at least wait for a start. Visually, everything seems to be correct.
