Total Commander: How to make a lossless copy?

Hello,
I want to use TC to manually back up my home archive.
When copying folders and files, TC offers to check the Verify box.
I understand correctly that if at least a few bytes are lost during copying (and, for example, because of this, the copied photo will not be able to open later), then TC checks this with its Verify function?
Or is this not enough for such a task and you need to create a checksum and then check the checksum files after copying? Or is it essentially the same mechanism and Verify is enough?

Thanks in advance, I always choose Answer-solution.

@todoman

When this option is enabled, Total Commander checks the md5 hashes of files in the source and destination. In the localized version, it's called: With MD5 check.
